I think that Waste land was a very amazing movie on showing how people live even though we never even consider them at alll. This movie showed us how they live and still how happy they are living even though they have no luxeries and good facilties. Waste Land showed me another part of the world I would have never considered to even exist. In the beginning of the movie I thought the people were really sad and looked they were really depressed but in the end of the movie I realized that they were actually really happy people and they were actually having fun and having a good time and not being sad of what they do.
Vik Muinz helped the people of Jardim Gramacho by showing that they can do other things than just picking up garbage. He made them give a break from the garbage and make them have fun and get to make them feel more free and make them realize they could do so much more than pick garbage. He made them feel special and more loved.
I think that honest job they have at the landfill is the better job; because you know that you are doing the right thing instead of having an dishonest job and just ruining your health and doing really stupid stuff. Having an honest job makes you more respectful in society and makes you more happier for doing the right thing.
After looking at this film it made me realize that everybody consumes so much garbage and we don't even know it. If we continue to consume this much garbage the environment will turn really into a bigger waste land. This made me realize that if I could recycle an item I should recycle and also I should try to not use a bunch of waste products. Like, say I spilled milk on the ground I should only take a 2-3 tissues to clean it up not 5-6. This way I can reduce how much garbage I use.
Other societies which could be highlighted in his artwork are places like third-world countries and developing countries such as India and China. These places are just like Brazil; and consume a lot of waste and have a lot of people which makes more waste. These countries relate to Brazil more and the highlight his artwork the best!
